What You'll Do

General Ledger & Month-End Close

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist with the preparation of internal financial statements and reports

  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process with timely data and variance analysis

  • Collaborate with the finance team to improve reporting tools and templates

Accounts Reconciliation & Accuracy

  • Maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reviews

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Maintain internal controls and ensure accounting practices are compliant with GAAP

  • Assist in identifying and implementing process efficiencies

  • Stay current on changes in accounting standards and industry best practices

Cross-Functional Support

  • Collaborate with AP, AR, and operational teams to ensure accurate financial data

  • Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external partners in a timely, professional manner

  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 2+ years of GL accounting experience

  • Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles

  • Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, SAP)

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Effective communicator who thrives in a collaborative team environment

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus

  • Experience in Real Estate or Property Management accounting
